Look for an Airbnb or hotel between Piazza Maggiore and Piazza Santo Stefano, or on Strada Maggiore. Streets to consider: via Altabella, via Goito, via Marsala, via Oberdan, via Rizzoli, via Castillion (close to center). Anywhere within blocks from the “due tori ”, Piazza Maggiore.
- Via Farini including Galleria Cavour (major luxury brands)
- Via San Felice (a ten min walk form the center. Independent boutiques, good prices/quality). Check out Tassinari for amazing Italian leather shoes. They also produce for major luxury brands, I get shoes worth 900 Euros for 300. Via San Felice 55. tassinarishoes.com
- Via Indipendenza (this is like high street with everyday Italian and European brands).
- Mercato delle Erbe is another good one and is on the way to Via San Felice shopping street.
- Go here for an exceptional Balsamic vinegar tasting free of charge and no appointment needed. Top quality! Close to Piazza Maggiore Giusti Boutique Bologna.
